Pastoral Team

December 3, 2013

In January 2009 I moved with my family from Palmerston North to Paraparaumu and was praying about what God might want me to do with my spare time.  I heard about L’Arche Kapiti from a friend (who had also moved from Palmerston North some years prior to me) who was Chaplain of L’Arche Kapiti at the time.  She invited me to Open Night of Prayer and I went to the February 2010 Open Night of Prayer out of curiosity.  I was immediately impressed with the warm welcome and accepting atmosphere of the community.  During the discussion time I met a volunteer who was running a craft program for the core members once a week, and she was looking for a helper.  Loving craft and working with people, I was interested and agreed to go along to check it out the following week.
